Commencement
Saturday, Dec. 13, 10:30 a.m.
McGilley Field House
The Commencement Ceremony begins at 10:30 a.m. Graduate lineup begins at 9:15 a.m. on the McGilley Field House Mezzanine. Keep an eye on your USM email for any inclement weather updates.
Seats are not assigned and tickets are not required. Doors open one hour prior to the ceremony. Those who are unable to attend can watch a from home.
Rehearsal for December Graduates

McGilley Field House
Important Note:
Rehearsal is required for all students. Regalia is not required for rehearsals. For those who cannot make the rehearsal, email registrar@stmary.edu for details on directions to Commencement, time to report, and other graduation expectations.
Special Accommodations:
McGilley Field House is handicap accessible (with handicap parking nearby). Signing will also be available in McGilley Field House during the ceremony. Please note any special accommodations for guests on the graduation sign-up form.
Spire Shop Hours:
The Spire Shop will be open 1-4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 12; and 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13.

Cap & Gown
Graduation regalia (cap and gown) is required for Commencement. Please remember: You may not decorate your cap or wear any other apparel outside of your gown other than honor cords 鈥� no exceptions.
If you have completed your degree application and you indicated you plan to attend the commencement ceremony, your cap and gown has been ordered for you. The Registrar鈥檚 Office will email information to you with the dates that your caps and gowns may be picked up. Students must monitor their USM emails for this important information.
If you do not live on or near the Main Campus or USM-Johnson County, you will need to order your cap and gown online at and have it shipped to your home address to bring to Commencement.
Regalia is not needed if you choose not to participate in the commencement ceremony.
DPT Pinning
Friday, Dec. 12 at 4 p.m.
Annunciation Chapel
A dinner will follow.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
All DPT graduates are expected to attend. There will be limited capacity based on location. DPT students will be advised on the number of guests allowed.
DPT graduates are presented with the official USM DPT pin, a symbol of welcome to the profession.
MSW Pinning

MSW graduates are presented with the official USM Social Work pin, a symbol of welcome to the profession.
