Swim Lesson Registration  |  Wednesday, May 16  |  6-8 p.m.


(Leavenworth, Kan.)—The »¨½·Ö±²¥ offers Red Cross swim lessons for children ages 4 and up. Daytime classes run two weeks with daily lessons Monday through Thursday.  Evening classes meet twice a week for four weeks. All classes (except Level 1) meet for 45 minutes and will be held in Berchmans Hall indoor heated pool (USM main campus at 4100 South 4th Street in Leavenworth).

Class enrollment is limited to six participants per class, and each course costs $50 per student. Registration will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16 in Saint Mary Walnut Room on USM's main campus.

The university also offers ongoing morning and evening aqua-fitness classes for adults in Berchmans Hall indoor heated pool.

Classes are designed to benefit all fitness levels, with exercises that can be modified to meet specific needs. A hydraulic chair lift is available for those who have difficulty with ladders. No swimming skills are required.The cost is $45 for a six-week session, or you can come as your schedule allows for a $5 per class fee.

  • Session 1—9:15 - 10 a.m., Tuesday and Thursday (June & July, 7:45-8:30 a.m.)
  • Session 2—4:45 - 5:30 p.m., Monday and Wednesday
  • Session 3—5:30 - 6:15 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday
