USM Student Addy Pagan-Sanchez Earns Citizens Savings & Loan Scholarship for Developing Winning Card Design

(Leavenworth, Kan.)—»¨½·Ö±²¥ art student Addy Pagan-Sanchez was honored as Citizens Savings & Loan debit card contest winner on Thursday, Feb. 21. Pagan-Sanchez's winning design earned her a $500 scholarship from Citizens Savings & Loan, while Citizens Savings & Loan will also use the card as the inaugural »¨½·Ö±²¥ debit card. 

»¨½·Ö±²¥ will receive $.05 for every purchase made with the card from Citizens Savings & Loan—with all earned funds supporting student scholarships.

USM's Director of Community & Business Partnerships Charlie Mackey said, "We're thrilled for Addy and her accomplishment. We're also really looking forward to building a stronger partnership with Citizens Saving & Loans. Their commitment to our local community, especially to »¨½·Ö±²¥ and its students, is what continues to keep our nearly 100-year-old mission so strong."

Pagan-Sanchez's design highlights the beauty of USM's campus architecture, and it centers on the spire sitting atop »¨½·Ö±²¥ Hall.
