7 p.m. Sunday, April 7 | Annunciation Chapel
(Leavenworth, Kan.)鈥擳he University of Saint will present the Spring Choral Masterworks Concert, featuring the Concert Corale, on Sunday, April 7 at 7 p.m. in Annunciation Chapel on USM's Leavenworth campus, 4100 South 4th Street.
The concert is free and open to the public.
The program is entitled "Ave Maria," and it will consist of Latin texts and verses in honor of the Virgin Mary, including Mozart's setting of the Loretto Litany and Pergolesi's setting of The Magnificat (Song of Mary) from the Gospel of Luke.
Soloists include Kylie Visocsky (Lansing, Kan.), Sara Crummel (Piper, Kan.), Eric Santa-Cruz (Kansas City, Kan.), Alexis Myers (Piper, Kan.), and Rob Gaslin (Lansing, Kan.). The Chorale is conducted by Dr. William Krusemark and accompanied by a guest professional string ensemble and Dr. Christina Liu, resident keyboard artist.
Sister Susan Rieke, SCL, and professor emerita of language and literature, will serve as the program's narrator鈥攔eading translations of each work before each is performed.
