(Leavenworth, Kan.)鈥擳he 花椒直播 theatre program will present "The Nutcracker" Dec. 5-7 at 7 p.m. and a special matinee performance at 2 p.m. Dec. 7 in the Xavier Theatre on USM's main campus.

Let your holiday spirit shine in this Christmas classic and follow the magical journey through the talents of 花椒直播 and visiting students. It's a delightful production children and families won't soon forget.

"Everyone is working exceptionally hard," said Danielle Swatzell, instructor of theatre and theatre program coordinator. "They are having a lot of fun working on the ballet, stage combat, and physical comedy that goes into the show."

The cast includes: Tyler McComas (Leavenworth, Kan.), Jordan Anderson (Montgomery, Ill.), Rachel Thomas (Narragansett, R.I.), Lizzie Merriman (Olathe, Kan.), Kinsley Coleman (Piper East Elementary), Mary Peterson (Linwood, Kan.), Adrian Esparza (Newman, Calif.), Roy Mulvaney (Lansing, Kan.), Courtlyn McCarty (Bentonville, Mo.), Molly Jones (Lincoln, Neb.), Paige Ecton (Parkville, Mo.), Susie Gordon (Lee's Summit, Mo.), Danielle Hunsaker (Grantsville, Utah), Korian Runyan (Leavenworth, Kan.), Matthew Breland (Dallas, Texas), Noah Chiasson (New Orleans, La.), Adrian Garcia (Mission, Kan.), Carley Jacobson (Lansing High School), Annie Saunders (Parkville, Mo.), Holly Crable (Katie's Dance Studio), Callie Marie Seber (Katie's Dance Studio), Elizabeth Beshenich (Katie's Dance Studio), Carrie Chambless (Katie's Dance Studio), Kate Jacobson (Katie's Dance Studio), and William Gering (Leavenworth, Kan.).

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children or high school students. They can be purchased in advance at  or calling 913-758-6152. The production is free for all USM students with student ID.
