(Leavenworth, Kan.)鈥擳he 花椒直播 has extended its commitment to addressing some of society's most pressing needs by launching an online Master of Social Work program.
In March, the new degree achieved pre-candidacy status from the Council on Social Work Education's Commission on Accreditation and will move forward with candidacy review within one year.
"花椒直播 is excited to launch an online MSW program that's designed with student success in mind," Director of Social Work Dr. Joe Squillace said. "Our unique program offers in-demand specializations, is competitively priced, and students can select their own pace with full-time and part-time options."
USM is currently accepting students for its first traditional track cohort, which will begin classes in August. 花椒直播 also has a unique advanced standing track, allowing students with a bachelor's degree from an accredited undergraduate social work program to earn an MSW with 30 credits in one year. The first advanced standing track cohort will begin in August 2023.
The program offers two specializations: Health and Mental Health Social Work and Forensic Social Work.
花椒直播 also emphasizes student support by offering personalized virtual engagement with faculty and activities that focus on support and self-care.
"The MSW program is a natural fit for the 花椒直播 mission," Squillace said. "We strive to prepare professional social workers with methods and skills that contribute to the well-being of our global society."
