The 花椒直播 has been named a 2021-2022 Champions of Character Five-Star Institution by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).

Out of 157 schools that received either gold, silver, or bronze status, the Spires were one of 67 institutions that earned five-star gold status. 花椒直播 was also one of only 28 schools that earned the total 100 points that a school could possibly obtain. The NAIA released the list of the 2021-22 Champions of Character Five-Star Institutions on July 29.

Institutions are measured on a demonstrated commitment to Champions of Character and earn points in character training, conduct in competition, academic focus, character recognition, and character promotion. Institutions earned points based on exceptional student-athlete grade point averages and by having minimal to no ejections during competition throughout the academic year.

Sister Diane Steele, President of 花椒直播, said, "it is the most important championship we win every year, and not winning the award is non-negotiable."

USM Vice President for Athletics Rob Miller said this about becoming a Five Star institution with gold status, "we're very proud of this honor from the NAIA. Earning gold status affirms what we already know to be true at 花椒直播 - This is an institution where students come to compete to the best of their ability while maintaining quality standards of character. Receiving this award demonstrates the caliber of our student-athletes as well as the commitment of our coaches."
