(Leavenworth, Kan.)—The »¨½·Ö±²¥ has once again been recognized as a Best Midwestern College by The Princeton Review.
The annual listing honors schools based on student feedback regarding academics, college life, and their fellow students. USM has earned the honor for 18 consecutive years.
The 158 colleges on the Best in the Midwest 2023 list are located in 12 states, including Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
"For nearly 100 years, »¨½·Ö±²¥ has been dedicated to academic excellence and helping students realize their God-given potential," University President Sister Diane Steele said. "Being recognized by The Princeton Review reinforces that USM is an institution that prepares students for rewarding careers and helps them lead value-centered lives."
Within the survey, students were asked to rate their colleges on dozens of issues, from the accessibility of their professors to the quality of facilities.
"Every teacher feels like a person I can reach out to at any hour for class help," an anonymous USM student wrote in the survey.
In total, 655 schools were named to the 2023 Best Colleges: Region by Region list. This includes 224 colleges in the Northeast, 126 in the West, 143 in the Southeast, and four internationally.
