(Leavenworth, Kansas) – The »¨½·Ö±²¥ FBLA-Collegiate chapter continues to excel on the national stage, bringing home a Distinguished Gold Seal Chapter Award and three top-10 finishes during the National Leadership Conference May 31-June 2 in Dallas, Texas.

The Distinguished Gold Seal Chapter Award recognizes FBLA-Collegiate chapters that demonstrate exceptional performance in areas such as membership growth, community service, professional development, and participation in state and national programs, placing them among the top chapters nationwide.

The annual conference draws college students from across the country to showcase their skills in a variety of business-related disciplines, including management, marketing, sales, finance, accounting, and more. USM’s Ava Vander Weit (Colorado Springs, Colorado) finished sixth in the Foundations of Hospitality Management competition. Katie Cameron (Quenemo, Kansas) and Hope Crabtree (Ottawa, Kansas) placed seventh in the Business Presentation category.

Fifteen USM students earned a chance to compete at the national level after their success at the Kansas state competition earlier this year, and 13 Spires traveled to Dallas for the leadership conference.

USM students have placed in the top 10 nationally every year since 2021, including two first-place finishes. The chapter was established in 2019. For more information about the organization, please contact Chapter Faculty Advisor Dave Pullin at dave.pullin@stmary.edu.
