COVID-Related Remote Classes
Critical info on USM's remote classes (Spring '20)

- When do Leavenworth and Overland Park classes start?
Leavenworth undergraduate classes and Overland Park graduate and degree-completion courses will begin remote delivery Monday, March 23, and continue in that delivery method for the rest of the Spring 2020 semester. - How will courses be delivered?
Courses will be delivered using a variety of methods:- online discussion boards, assignments, papers, projects, quizzes, and tests via eSpire;
- live video of courses via Zoom. You can connect to video conferencing sessions on
your computer or smart phone.
- For main campus undergraduate students, live course sessions will be held at regularly
scheduled times as follows (All times listed are CENTRAL TIME ZONE):
- Courses that were held on-campus at 10 a.m. or later will be held at the same time remotely as your instructor indicates. If your course was Monday/Wednesday/Friday or Tuesday/Thursday, it will continue to be held on one or more of the same days. Your instructor will communicate how and when each of your courses will be delivered, watch for their email.
- To accommodate students in a variety of time zones, courses that were held before
10 a.m. will begin at new times:
- 8 a.m. classes will now begin at 3 p.m.
- 8:30 a.m. classes will now begin at 3:30 p.m.
- 9 a.m. classes will now begin at 4 p.m.
- 9:30 a.m. classes will now begin at 4:30 p.m.
- How do I access my classes?

- What if I left my laptop or textbooks in my dorm room?
If you are a resident student and left your textbooks or laptop on campus before you left for Spring Break and you do not reside locally, contact danielle.theiss@stmary.edu to have these items mailed to you at no cost. - What if I need to speak with my professors outside of course time?
Faculty will be available for virtual office hours by phone or video chat to answer your questions.
