EDWRK 600 06S SU 2025-4 Creating Effective Formative Assessments and Rubrics
In this hands-on workshop, teachers will explore effective ways to assess student learning and measure understanding. Learn to create meaningful formative assessments, design rubrics, and use tools to streamline the process. While the course will highlight the benefits of working within a collaborative learning team, all teachers will gain practical strategies to assess learning and adjust instruction. This course introduces the characteristics of and presents effective strategies for adult learners, and ideas for providing professional development to adult learners in their own settings.

ED 773 Strategies and Interventions for Math Instruction
This course provides teachers in a PK-12 classroom the tools to structure and implement a multi-tiered system of support focused on mathematics. Focus will be placed on research-based instructional strategies that target struggling math learners identified using District data sources and the curricular resources necessary to support the teaching staff leading intervention.

EDWRK 600 0S6 SU4 Foundations of the Science of Reading: Understanding and Applying Structured Literacy Principles I and 2
This course provides educators with a deep understanding of the Science of Reading and equips them with the knowledge and skills necessary to apply the principles of structured literacy in the classroom. Emphasizing evidence-based practices, the course highlights strategies for supporting students with dyslexia, English language learners (ELLs), and students with exceptionalities. Knowledge and application is supported through personalized coaching throughout the course.

Emotional Intelligence for Educators
This course explores the areas of emotional intelligence as they apply to the learning environment. Educators will be able to take the theories of E.I. and put them into practice in their educational setting and apply the strategies to their instruction and social interactions with others.

Foundations of the Science of Reading: Understanding and Applying Structured Literacy Principles I and II (6 credit hours)
The 花椒直播 is pleased to offer Foundations of the Science of Reading I and II to satisfy the Seal of Literacy licensure requirement. This course provides educators with a deep understanding of the Science of Reading and equips them with the knowledge and skills necessary to apply the principles of structured literacy in the classroom. Emphasizing evidence-based practices, the course highlights strategies for supporting students with dyslexia, English language learners (ELLs), and students with exceptionalities. Knowledge and application is supported through personalized coaching throughout the course. The course is aligned with Standards 5, 6, and 7 of the Kansas Elementary Education (PK-6) Educator Preparation Program Standards and the International Dyslexia Association鈥檚 Knowledge and Practice Standards for Teachers of Reading.
What Can Educators Expect:
- Synchronous Instruction from a university literacy expert
- Literacy Coaching (group and/or individual)
- Opportunity to use what you鈥檙e already doing in your classroom to demonstrate application of Structured Literacy Principles
- Tuition covered by The Kansas Blueprint for Literacy
- $500 Stipend*
- Earn KSDE Seal of Literacy* (for additional information from KSDE, please click )
- Earn six credit hours for completion of the work*
*Subject to successful completion of coursework and an 85% or higher on the course summative assessment
Who is This Professional Development For?
This training is for PK-8 educators looking to deepen their understanding and application of Structured Literacy. Educators who do not yet have the Seal of Literacy on their license can use this pathway as a qualifying option to earn it. Educators that have successfully completed, or are enrolled in, LETRS, AIMS Pathways, or Keys to Literacy should not enroll in this professional development opportunity.
